3 Diaper Bag Must Haves for Traveling
I consider myself new to this mommy game (15 months). However, one thing I learned quickly is that a well-stocked diaper bag is the difference between a minor hiccup and major mommy meltdown! I’m assuming you’re going to have the basics in your diaper bag. You know, diapers, wipes, snacks, change of clothes, burp cloths (awesome multi-function hack), and toys. This list is for the extras that you didn’t think you would need.
First things first, we ditched our cute little diaper bag for a functional backpack. When you have two toddlers that you have to keep track of, function over cute is always going to be the default rule. A backpack, keeps your hands free, distributes the weight across your shoulders, and you can stick your things in it without them getting lost!
Second, noise reducing headphones. I spend a lot of time watching award shows and I saw Kelly Clarkson and DJ Kahled children were wearing these cute lil headphones, so of course I got my “google” on. They’re called Baby Banz and the little people look so cute in them!
Third, high chair covers. The airport is full of germs and kids put everything in their mouths. You may not be a germaphobe, but people are nasty and full of germs. Your flight may be delayed and you may need to eat at a restaurant. Cover that high chair and while you’re at it, cover that table with place mats. It can be tempting to let your little person eat off the table or risk them throwing a plate across the restaurant, but I wouldn’t advise that. The Sesame Street place mats that I use have adhesive on all 4 sides and stick to the table. It also has activities that the kids can do on it.
I’m sure there’s other stuff you can add, but I never travel with my Chocolate Drops without these items.
